The Banbury Kids' Project is a community art project which I had the opportunity to be involved in. My role in the Banbury Kids' Project was to brainstorm ideas with my co-teachers, collaborate on lesson plans, facilitate choice-based art education, create and maintain a blog, as well as get to know students on an individual level in order to create meaningful and enriching lesson plans to encourage life-long learning.

I will bring the expertise and experience gained from this experience to any classroom. Some skills that the project helped me further develop include:
- Creating and maintaining a blog including: Student work, updates on lessons, photographs of students in action.
- Having in-depth conversations with parents to help address individual learning styles and needs of students.
- Help students realize their own individual potential and nurture their talents.
- Encourage them to "stretch" and offer students support to help them improve all aspects of their learning, not just their strengths.
- Collaborate and work with fellow instructors to achieve a shared understanding and work towards a common goal.
- Create contacts within the local community to enable students to show work outside of the classroom.
- Foster an appreciation for local artists, culture, and the broader community.
