Art Club!
Why are art clubs important?
Art clubs are an important part of the art department at any school. It offers students who may not be in an art class to have some fun and create something as well as offering students who are involved in the arts to become mentors to other students. Art club builds community within the school. It gives students the chance to socialize in a safe environment while learning simple art projects. Art club also gives the students an opportunity to gain experience in raising money and to take trips to visit museums and galleries. Some examples of art club activities I have experienced include: taking a charter bus to The Walker Museum in Minneapolis, making plaster masks, making holiday ornaments, chain mail making and necklace design!
